True healing is really a lifestyle, and so in addition to our events, we recommend drinking high quality water, eating healthy, exercising regularly, reducing stress, nurturing healthy relationships, simplifying life, getting enough rest, and pursuing all other healing and medical avenues that feel right for each of us.
Beyond this, one of the most important components to health and healing is our mental attitude, as many believe there is a HUGE connection between our thoughts and our health. If we are driven by negative thinking patterns, continually flooding our system with negative thoughts and emotions, healing will likely be far more difficult than it otherwise could be.
Only you have the power to change the thoughts and emotions in your heart and mind, and we recommend 3 simple yet powerful things that each of us can do to help with this:
1) Send forgiveness to everyone and everything, all the time.
2) Send continual acceptance to the world, just as it is, to everyone and everything, all the time.
3) Send Love, Light, kindness, compassion, and gratitude to everyone and everything, all the time.
For a bit more information about these three suggestions, please see Question 6 on our FAQ page.
Below are also a list of books (or audiobooks) and videos, in no particular order, that we hope will be of benefit to you. Some suggestions may speak to you more than others, so trust you intuition in exploring what feels right for you. Whenever possible, we would recommend videos and audiobooks (or a book and audiobook together), so that information can more easily be absorbed at deeper intuitive levels.
Gaia offers thousands of interesting and inspiring films on a wide variety of spiritual topics for a very low monthly fee, and also offers a free 1 week trail period.
If buying books on Amazon, we recommend getting them through smile.amazon.com so that some of the proceeds from your purchase will go to a charity of your choice.
Healing and Brain Wave States (Please also see Question 4 on our FAQ page):
Book/Audiobook: Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza
Dr. Joe Dispenza: Brain Wave State Videos / YouTube Channel
Forgiveness (Please also see Question 6 on our FAQ page):
A Course in Miracles is one of the most powerful resources we know of to help strengthen one's ability to forgive, but many people find it challenging to understand because of the way and the style in which it is written. If you are interested in exploring, we would recommend doing so in this order:
1) A Course in Miracles Made Easy by Alan Cohen (read / listen to this book first)
2) A Course In Miracles Text - the audiobook is available on YouTube - and the text can be purchased here if you would like to read, but we would recommend meditating to part or all of the audiobook with a relaxed and open focus and at a pace that is manageable for you before starting the year long course.
3) A Course in Miracles Workbook - this a year long course - 365 daily lessons (available online for free). It can be done while or after reading/listening to the text, but we would not recommend starting the year long course until after you have at least some understanding of the text.
Acceptance and Surrender (Please also see Question 6 on our FAQ page):
The Surrender Experiment by Michael Singer
The Power of Now Now and/or Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle
Film: Ram Dass: Going Home on Netflix (trailer can also be seen on YouTube)
Mediumship and Healing:
It is widely accepted that atoms, the building blocks of the world we see, are only made up of about .01% physical matter, and 99.99% something else. Understanding what that other 99.99% actually is, and how we can utilize it for the purposes of health and healing, is still very much in its infancy. The journey into the invisible world is an exploration into the great unknown, and something that still requires a great deal study from both scientific and spiritual perspectives.
A medium is someone who has the ability to connect to the invisible world. Similarly to healing ability, this is also an ability that each of us have, albeit to varying degrees, and something that each of us can develop to the extent of our innate capacity.
We understand that many people are skeptical of the idea of mediumship, in part because there have unfortunately been many instances of fakery and deception in this field. We are committed to looking at this subject as honestly and objectively as we can, and we support the continued research and exploration into this area in the most responsible ways possible.
Generally speaking, there are two kinds of mediums:
1) Evidential mediums - those who are able to receive information and messages from the invisible world
2) Healing mediums - those who are able to use their mediumship abilities specifically for the purposes of healing
While there are many books written about evidential mediumship, there is unfortunately very little written material at this point in time about healing mediumship. For starters, we would refer you to this Dr. Joe Dispenza Interview on YouTube. If you do not have time to watch the whole interview, we would recommend at least the first 15 minutes as well as the two healing testimonials at the 38:20 mark.
